Larsen Original Violin Strings

Larsen violin strings are expertly made in Denmark to exacting standards delivering consistent high quality. These ‘Original’ synthetic core strings are designed to present a balanced sound that is neither too bright or dark. The aim is achieve a consistent warm tone with an element of neutrality, rather like Dominant strings, that allows easy blending with other brands of string and will suit most instruments. The strings feel smooth under the finger and make shifting easy work.

Larsen Original strings are available in 2 tensions – medium and strong for certain strings; and there are several options for the surface material. The E string can has a removable ball end and can be ordered in plain carbon steel or gold plated. The A has an aluminium wound synthetic core, but there is an option for an all steel A string for seamless string crossing with the E. The D string is available with either aluminium or silver windings. The G string features Silver winding. Please note that the steel A string is only available in medium tension.
